On October 27, 2019, a daring operation by USA Navy seals brought an end to the reign of terror of Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State (ISIS).
According to reports, a USA ally spy had been tracking al Baghdadi since May 15, 2019, and had managed to get close enough to steal his underwear for a DNA test.
Polat Can, a senior adviser for the Syrian Defence Force (SDF), revealed that one of the men involved in the operation had successfully infiltrated al Baghdadi's hideout and obtained the underwear, which was then used to verify the identity of the ISIS leader.
Al Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest, killing himself and three of his children, as USA Navy seals closed in on his location.
