Goldenscape Greenhouses Limited, a local agribusiness company, has merged with Silverstone Properties Limited to enable investors own land in addition to leasing greenhouses.

Under the new partnership, investors can contribute 85% of the Sh500,000 capital required to own land in prime spots in major towns in Kenya through a roll-over from their agribusiness returns and pay in flexible instalments.

According to Goldenscape Group chairman Peter Wangai, the decision to merge the two projects was driven by the high demand from clients who have enjoyed returns from the greenhouses.

The company plans to launch its agribusiness model of land ownership countrywide after a successful 100-acre pilot phase in Laikipia County, which started in April last year.

Goldenscape Greenhouses Limited has already successfully rolled out a lease-a-greenhouse project, where over 500 investors took up the opportunity and earned more than Sh30 million from the sale of horticultural produce grown in their leased greenhouses.

The company sells the groceries on behalf of the owners, partnering with over 3,000 grocery stores to stock and sell the produce.
