As the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations got underway, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has assured the public that measures are in place to curb exam cheating and irregularities.

According to TSC CEO Nancy Macharia, the commission had put in place stringent measures to address the issue of integrity among teachers involved in the exams.

Speaking at Milimani primary school in Naivasha, Macharia said that the invigilators had been trained and warned over the issue, and that the commission was confident that cases of exam irregularities would be a thing of the past.

On the issue of personnel and transport, Macharia said that the commission had addressed the issue of transport mainly due to the rains currently pounding parts of the country.

Naivasha sub-county commissioner Mathioya Mbogo also assured that the exams across the county had started on a smooth note, with all materials delivered to the necessary centers.
