Ugandan musician and politician Bobi Wine's court case has been postponed to December 12, 2019, after one of his co-accused failed to show up for the hearing.
The case, which involves charges of disobedience of statutory duty, was adjourned for the second time following Bobi Wine's failure to appear in court for the initial hearing.
According to the New Vision newspaper, Bobi Wine is facing the charge alongside four other individuals, who are accused of holding a public gathering without notifying the authorities.
The Kyadondo East MP's lawyer, Asuman Basalirwa, had previously stated that Bobi Wine was arrested in 2018 after he reported to the Criminal Investigations Directorate following a summons.
It was after this arrest that Bobi Wine was implicated in the charges he is currently facing, which carry a two-year prison sentence on conviction.
