Naomi Ireri, a 41-year-old mother of one, has shared her heart-wrenching story of contracting HIV after a one-night stand.

According to Naomi, she discovered her HIV-positive status when she was five months pregnant during an antenatal clinic visit.

Naomi revealed that she had met a man a year before she met her baby's father and they had a one-night stand. She had known him for only a week before they slept together.

Naomi shared several red flags that should have warned her about the man's intentions, including him keeping her waiting for an hour and taking her to a shoddy lodging. She also mentioned that he did not have condoms and offered to go buy some, but she agreed to have sex with him without protection.

After the one-night stand, the man gave Naomi some cash and she went home. She later discovered that she was pregnant and bought emergency contraception pills, but she wished she had gone to a government hospital to prevent herself from getting HIV.

Naomi's baby's father was supportive and still is, despite them not being together. He has also tested negative for HIV.

Naomi's story serves as a reminder of the importance of safe sex practices and the need for individuals to take responsibility for their health.
