On October 29, 2019, Nairobi County Assembly descended into chaos as members of the two rival factions clashed physically.
The fight was between the camps of House Speaker Beatrice Elachi and Majority Leader Abdi Guyo.
Earlier, the MCAs supporting Ms Elachi had vowed to vote to dethrone Mr Guyo, daring the rival faction to bring on the impeachment motion against the Speaker if they had numbers.
However, the Guyo-led faction had announced that the impeachment motion was on, setting the stage for the confrontation.
Chaos broke out after the group supporting Elachi stormed the other group's press conference, hurling objects at them before physically dragging them out of the area.
More details as they emerge.
