Three Skincare Mistakes You're Making

Published on October 29, 2019

When it comes to taking care of your skin, there are several common mistakes that people make. These mistakes can cause damage and lead to premature aging, which is why it's essential to be aware of them.

One of the most significant mistakes people make is being too rough with their skin. This can be caused by physical exfoliation, prolonged rubbing and tugging, and even using facial scrubs regularly. Chemical exfoliation, on the other hand, is much gentler and can be a better alternative.

Another mistake people make is not changing their pillow cover regularly. A dirty pillow cover can collect oil and dirt from your face, which can cause breakouts and other skin issues. It's recommended to change your pillow cover at least every 4-6 days and flip it over at some point in-between washes.

Finally, people often use makeup wipes incorrectly. Makeup wipes alone may not be enough to remove all your makeup, which can cause unnecessary pulling and tugging on your skin. Instead, dissolve your makeup with an oil, such as almond oil, and then gently wipe it off with a makeup wipe.

By being aware of these common skincare mistakes, you can take steps to prevent damage and premature aging. Remember to always be gentle with your skin, change your pillow cover regularly, and use makeup wipes correctly.
