Reggae musician Chris Martin is making a comeback to Nairobi in December for a highly anticipated concert.
According to Nairobi News, Martin confirmed his return in a video, two weeks after the news of his visit broke.
Currently based in New York, US, Martin is busy with a string of shows, but he took time to speak to Nairobi News ahead of his Nairobi concert.
On December 7th, Martin will be performing at an event organized by Umoja Splash Festival, although the venue is yet to be confirmed.
This will be Martin's second visit to Kenya, with his first visit being eight years ago in March 2011, where he performed at the Carnivore grounds.
At the time, Martin was accompanied by his then-girlfriend, dancehall superstar Cecil, with whom he had a four-and-a-half-year secret relationship before splitting up.
During their relationship, they had a daughter together, and Martin also has two other children from different relationships.
As he prepares to return to Nairobi, Martin had a message for his Kenyan fans, particularly the ladies: "Yes, I will be there on the 7th December as announced. I am returning with so much love and hope to receive some love from my Kenyan fans. Let's make the weekend a loving weekend hoping to see all my Kenyan ladies," he said.
