Ali Kiba Honored for Promoting Zanzibar Tourism

On October 29, 2019, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba was recognized for his efforts in promoting domestic tourism in Zanzibar. The singer was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Zanzibar Minister of Information, Tourism and Heritage, Mahmoud Kombo.

Ali Kiba expressed his gratitude for the award, stating,

“I am very happy to be awarded a Certificate of Local Tourism to add more leverage to promote tourism in Zanzibar and Tanzania in general, to my fellow Tanzanians and even tourists from different countries, we will continue to welcome them,” said the Tanzanian singer.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the United Republic of Tanzania and Zanzibar to recognize and reward artists who contribute to promoting tourism.

Ali Kiba urged the governments of the two entities to continue appreciating the contributions of Tanzanian artists and utilize them in promoting various sectors of the country.
