On January 22, 2018, Ugandan musician Mowzey Radio, whose real name was Moses Sekibooga, was brutally assaulted by a bouncer at De Bar nightclub in Kampala. The incident left him in a coma, from which he never recovered.

According to eyewitness accounts, including those from Radio's mother, Jane Kasuubo, and music producer Washington, the assault occurred after Radio poured a bottle of Black label wine, which had been ordered by the club's manager, Egesa George. George became angry and pushed the table with drinks aside, prompting Washington to grab him, and Radio's friend, Pamela Musiimire, to grab Radio and try to lead him out of the bar.

However, as they were leaving, another individual, later identified as Godfrey Wamala Troy, a bouncer at the club, attacked Radio, lifting him up and throwing him to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness. Radio died 10 days later, on February 1, 2018.

On October 29, 2019, the High Court in Entebbe found Godfrey Wamala Troy guilty of manslaughter in connection with Radio's death, but acquitted him of murder.
