Woman Marries Three Husbands To Be Fully Satisfied ¶
Ann Grace Aguti, a mother of three from Uganda's Ngora district, has made headlines after marrying three husbands in a bid to satisfy her desires.
According to reports, Aguti's search for a 'tender, loving husband' who could provide for her needs led her to take matters into her own hands. She began looking for a new partner after her first husband failed to meet her expectations.
"My husband was useless and I remained the breadwinner. When I left him, I started looking for that special someone, but I have not yet found him because even now, I have to feed the men that I have. So, my search continues," Aguti said in an interview.
Aguti's unconventional marriage arrangement has not gone down well with her father, Pastor Peter Ogwang, who has mobilized clan members to intervene in the situation. Ogwang claims that polyandry is not acceptable in the Teso community.
However, Aguti has defended her decision, stating that she is an adult with a home and has the right to make her own choices. "Dad, I am an adult with a home. It is my right to have the three men who, fortunately, understand each other," she told her father during a confrontation.
The local council clan has since ruled that the men should leave Aguti's house for the time being and if they want to still marry her, they are to come officially with identification and introduce themselves to the local authority.
Aguti's three husbands have left her house but have vowed to return. One of them has already returned with his duly signed letters.
