On July 10, 2019, Bonnie Musambi, a news anchor and journalist at KBC, celebrated his wife Betty's birthday in style. The media personality splurged millions on a mansion and a car for his loyal wife of seven years.
According to Musambi, he bought a Sh18 million mansion in Kilimani, Nairobi, which is on mortgage, and a Nissan X-trail worth Sh2.5 million. He revealed that he had sold a Toyota Passo he had bought the previous year to purchase the car for his wife.
When asked why he decided to gift his wife on her birthday, Musambi explained that he loves her dearly because she stood by him during his lowest moments. He revealed that he was recovering from a heartbreak when they met and had given up on marriage.
“She came to my life when I had been heartbroken. I had given up on marriage. Initially, I was dating a girl only to realise that she was somebody else’s wife. She was a foreigner. She came to my life at that time and she collected and encouraged me,” Musambi said.
Despite his generous gift, Musambi expressed his desire to do more for his wife, stating, “For me, I have not done anything yet, I will still do more for her.”
