On October 24th, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) began producing a new security-enhanced travel document, designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, and fraud.
The document, which can serve as a replacement for certain travel documents, including Form I-327 and Form I-571, features a redesigned booklet cover and four montages containing images of notable US architecture.
The new travel document incorporates a combination of first-, second-, and third-level security features, including overt, covert, and forensic elements.
According to USCIS, previous versions of the travel document will remain valid until their expiration date.
