On January 23, 2018, Ugandan musician Mowzey Radio, whose government name is Moses Sekibooga, was involved in a fight outside a club in Entebbe, Uganda.
He was rushed to hospital where he spent over a week in a coma before passing away while receiving treatment.
According to an eye witness, Radio had called her to meet him at De Bar, a club owned by George Egesa, a brother-in-law to Radio, after visiting his construction site.
Radio arrived at the bar with producer Washington and a friend, and they were all having fun. However, things took a turn when Egesa ordered a waitress to bring Radio a bottle of Black label, which Radio poured, annoying Egesa.
When Egesa stood up, Washington grabbed him, thinking they were going to fight, and the witness grabbed Radio to lead him out of the bar. However, another man came out of nowhere, lifted Radio up, and threw him to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.
On October 28, 2022, a judge found Wamala aka Troy, the man accused of killing Radio in the bar brawl, guilty.
