On 25 October, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced in a gazette notice that the commission had completed the process of revising and verifying the Kibra voters register ahead of the by-election.
According to the 2017 voters register, 118,276 people were registered as voters in Kibra constituency.
On 28 October, the commission listed the number of voters per assembly ward, with Sarangombe ward having the highest number of voters at 30,758, followed closely by Woodley/Kenyatta Golf Course ward with 28,066 registered voters.
The Kibra by-election is scheduled to take place on 7 November 2019, with a total of 24 candidates vying for the seat left vacant by the late Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, who passed away in July.
