Published on October 28, 2019, a day after a plane crash-landed at Eldoret International Airport, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCCA) has launched an investigation into recent air incidents involving Silverstone Air Services.
The incidents, which have sparked public outcry on social media, include a plane operated by the local carrier crash-landing after losing one of its wheels during take-off.
The Dash 8 300 aircraft, with registration number 5Y-NOP, was scheduled to fly from Lodwar to Nairobi when the tyre fell off, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at Eldoret International Airport in Uasin Gishu County.
Additionally, another video has gone viral on social media showing a Silverstone's aircraft hitting and damaging another plane at the Wilson Airport in Nairobi on Sunday morning.
Earlier this month, another plane skidded off the runway at Wilson Airport and crashed shortly after take-off, injuring nine passengers.
