On Sunday evening, a fresh wave of violence broke out in the Enoororet-Enoorsoen border in Trans Mara West, Narok County, leaving ten people injured and seeking medical attention.

According to authorities, the clashes were sparked by the presence of security personnel deployed to guard a landowner who was tilling the disputed land.

‘They armed themselves with bows and arrows and engaged the other group in a fight in the better part of Sunday evening,’ said a junior officer who wished to remain anonymous.

Government officials have since moved to the area to quell the violence, which is not the first incident of its kind in the region. Last month, over 15 people suffered arrow wounds, with three more sustaining gunshot wounds in a similar dispute over the same piece of land.
