Published on October 28, 2019, Nairobi-based low-cost carrier Jambojet has begun selling flight tickets to Kigali and Mogadishu in anticipation of its maiden flights in November.

According to Jambojet CEO Allan Kilavuka, the airline's entry into these markets is part of its regional expansion strategy, aiming to provide affordable and reliable flights from its Nairobi hub to the two destinations.

Currently, Jambojet is the sole low-cost airline operating the Nairobi-Kigali route.

"Our entry into the two markets is part of our regional expansion programme and brings to three the total number of routes we operate in the continent with the exception of those we fly to on behalf of Kenya Airways," said Allan Kilavuka, Chief Executive Officer, Jambojet.

The airline will operate daily flights to Kigali and Mogadishu, with the Nairobi-Kigali route commencing on November 25th and the Nairobi-Mogadishu route starting on November 24th.
