On Monday, a Silverstone Air plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Eldoret International Airport after a tyre fell off during take-off.

The incident occurred on a flight from Lodwar to Nairobi, which had four passengers on board.

According to a statement from the airline, the plane experienced an incident during take-off and lost the number 3 wheel assembly.

The passengers were booked into another aircraft operated by Skyward Airline for the remainder of the journey and landed safely in Nairobi.

Notably, this incident comes less than a month after another Silverstone Air plane crashed at Wilson Airport shortly after take-off on October 11, 2019.

At the time, the plane was leaving Nairobi for Lamu when it skidded off the runway.
