On October 28, 2019, media personality Janet Mbugua's marriage to Eddie Ndichu was the subject of speculation and rumors.

Netizens noticed that Janet had edited her Instagram bio, removing the title 'wife' and retaining only 'mum of two.'

Some tabloids claimed that Janet had unfollowed Ndichu, further fueling speculation about the state of their marriage.

However, in a recent interview, Janet Mbugua spoke candidly about the challenges of marriage, advising singles to take their time before getting married.

She shared her own experiences, saying, 'Trying to balance family, work and expectations is really hard. I always tell those who keep on saying: 'Oh my God, I can't wait to start a family…' I say two things: 'Take your time, and make sure that you are ready; because you could be good at being in love, but you do not really need to be married'.

Janet Mbugua and Eddie Ndichu tied the knot in 2015 in an intimate wedding at Chaka Ranch in Nyeri. They have two children, Huru and Mali, born in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Janet Mbugua, a former Citizen Television news anchor, has been open about her decision to leave the broadcasting industry to focus on raising her family. She resigned from her job in April 2017, citing the need to prioritize her family.
