On October 28, 2019, an Entebbe court delivered a verdict in the highly publicized case of Mowzey Radio's death, acquitting Godfrey Wamala, known as Troy, of murder.

However, in the same ruling, Judge Jane Francis Abodo found Troy guilty of manslaughter, a charge that carries a lesser penalty than murder.

Murder is defined as the premeditated killing of one human being by another, whereas manslaughter involves the killing of a human being without prior planning.

Troy had denied any involvement in Radio's death, which occurred over a year ago.

One witness, a music producer who was with Radio on the night of his death, testified that he saw Troy physically harm Radio during a brawl at a nightclub.

According to the witness, Radio had gotten angry and poured alcohol on the club manager, leading to a confrontation that ended with Radio being thrown to the ground by Troy.

Radio, a renowned musician known for his hit songs such as 'Neera', 'Bread and Butter', 'Potential', and 'Kuku', left behind three children from two different relationships.
