On Monday, 14 candidates at Narok GK Prison in Kenya underwent rehearsals ahead of the start of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
Senior Superintendent of Narok GK Prison Benson Lomeli stated that if the inmates perform well, they will be allowed to pursue their secondary education at the Naivasha GK Prison, which has a secondary school facility.
Lomeli also urged women inmates to take advantage of the opportunity to continue their studies, as only men were sitting for the examination this year.
Interestingly, two of the candidates had already completed their jail term but will still be sitting for the exam in the facility.
