Published on October 28, 2019, a story of an all-consuming love has emerged from the East African region.

Munira, a resident of Mombasa, Kenya, took drastic measures to express her devotion to Tanzanian musician Mbosso. She traveled to Tanzania, setting up camp at the Wasafi offices, in a bid to win his heart.

According to an interview with Wasafi, Munira confessed to being obsessed with Mbosso, stating, "I love him. There are so many men in Kenya that want to marry me but I’m not ready. I came to look for Mbosso and I’m ready to do anything. I love him so much. I loved him since Yamoto Band. I sold my phone to get fare to come to Tanzania."

Her desperation reached new heights as she threatened to take her own life by consuming poison if Mbosso rejected her proposal. Despite being offered fare to return home, Munira refused to leave, insisting that she would rather die than abandon her quest for love.

Mbosso, however, was not impressed by Munira's actions, terming them as "stupidity." He explained that he has a family and kids, and getting into a relationship with someone he barely knows is not a viable option. "I want her to go back home," he said.
