On October 27, 2019, Arsenal's Premier League match against Crystal Palace ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates stadium.

However, the Gunners' fans were left fuming after their team threw away a two-goal lead, and their frustration was directed towards captain Granit Xhaka.

As Xhaka was being substituted out of the game, he appeared to disapprove of the decision, which further enraged the fans.

Boos and jeers filled the stadium as Xhaka left the pitch, and in response, he cupped his hand to his ear and mouthed a response to the jeers.

He then took his shirt off and headed straight down the tunnel, refusing to shake hands with manager Unai Emery.

Emery condemned Xhaka's reaction, stating, "Xhaka was wrong and now we need to stay calm and speak to him inside the club about that reaction."
