On October 27, 2019, the KCB volleyball ladies made history by storming into the finals of the Nandi Governor Cup after a thrilling performance in the Kenya Volleyball Federation Tournament at Kapsabet Stadium.

The team, led by Head Coach Japheth Munala, edged out Kenya Pipeline 3-2 in a closely contested match, showcasing their determination and fighting spirit.

Coach Munala praised the team's performance, highlighting the impressive skills of new signing Ernestine Akimanizanye and middle blocker Violet Makuto, who he described as 'unstoppable'.

The KCB ladies will face off against KCB B in the semi-finals, while Pipeline and Kenya Prisons will clash in the second semi-finals.

With their sights set on the finals on Sunday, the KCB ladies are confident of lifting the Nandi Cup, as Coach Munala expressed, 'The team has an amazing fighting spirit, we are looking forward to the finals on Sunday and hopefully we will lift the Nandi cup.'
