On October 27, 2019, Liverpool staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Anfield, maintaining their dominance at the top of the Premier League.

Trailing 1-0 after just one minute, thanks to Harry Kane's header, Liverpool's Jordan Henderson equalized in the second half, followed by Mo Salah's penalty, securing a crucial win for the Reds.

Despite Tottenham's spirited defense, led by goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, Liverpool's pressure eventually told, with Henderson scoring his first league goal at Anfield since December 2015.

The turning point came when Serge Aurier's clumsy tackle on Sadio Mane gave Salah the opportunity to seal the win with a penalty, which he converted without hesitation.

Tottenham's loss marked their eighth consecutive defeat at Anfield, while Liverpool's victory extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to six points.

For Tottenham, the defeat was a setback, as they slumped to 11th place, eight points adrift of the Champions League spots.
