AZ Alkmaar defender Pantelis Hatzidiakos suffered a gruesome injury during his team's 4-0 win over 10-man PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
According to a video shared by FOX Sports, PSV striker Konstantinos Mitroglou's elbow struck Hatzidiakos' face during a challenge for an aerial ball.
As a result, the defender was unable to continue the match and was substituted out while his teeth were collected by the medical staff.
Fortunately for AZ Alkmaar, the win propelled them to second place in the Eredivisie, six points behind Ajax, who they could potentially catch if they defeat Feyenoord.
PSV's loss also ended their 53-game unbeaten run at home in the Eredivisie.
