Embu Governor Martin Wambora has made significant changes to his chief officers in a move aimed at revitalizing the operations of the county government.
According to a press release from the governor's communication department, the reshuffle is intended to improve efficiency and service delivery in the county.
“My administration is intent on improving on service delivery. My resolve to serve the people and leave a legacy that is unstoppable,” Governor Wambora said.
Among the changes, Jane Mugambi, the former Chief Officer for Public Service, has been moved to Gender, Children, Culture and Social Services. Damiano Muthee, who was in charge of Finance, will now oversee Early Childhood Development.
Other notable changes include Mary Mercy Munene, who will head Infrastructure and Public Works, and Michael Ngoroi, who will take over Land, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development.
John Mukundi will now head Public Service, while Alvan Mugendi will oversee Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives. Ruth Ndirangu, Albert Gatuta, Newton Mbora, and Easter Mbogo will take on new roles as Chief Officers for Finance and Planning, Water and Irrigation, Fisheries and County Public Service Board, and Youth Empowerment, respectively.
However, Administration and Devolution Chief Officer Muturi Wa Ireri and Fredrick Ndaire of Energy and Transport will remain in their current positions. The other chief officers will retain their respective dockets.
