On October 27, 2019, a violent incident occurred in Kibra, where Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi's convoy was stoned.

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has come out to condemn the violence, calling it an 'uncalled for show of hatred' towards a leader pursuing his political rights.

According to Khalwale, the supporters who stoned Mudavadi's convoy were 'channeling what they have been continually conditioned to display' by ODM Leader Raila Odinga.

'The stoning of @MusaliaMudavadi in Kibra by @TheODMparty goons this afternoon calls for deep & serious reflection on Odingaism,' Khalwale tweeted.

Notably, this is not the first time chaos has erupted in Kibra. In a previous incident, Jubilee's Mariga was forced to run for his life when his convoy was stoned and pelted with petrol while on a campaign trail.

Mariga, ANC's Owalo, and Imran Okoth of ODM are among the top favorites for the hotly contested Kibra parliamentary seat, with a by-election scheduled for November 7, 2019.
