On October 27, 2019, chaos erupted during a campaign rally for the Amani National Congress (ANC) party flag bearer Eliud Owalo in Kibra, Kenya.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi was leading the campaign when the rowdy youths ambushed them with stones, allegedly from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporters.
ANC Secretary-General Barack Muluka, who accompanied Mudavadi, stated that they restrained their youth supporters from fighting back, as they do not believe in violence.
Despite the chaos, the party managed to leave the arena and proceed with their campaigns in Laini Saba Ward, where quite a number of ANC supporters were injured.
Muluka further stated that the party will take legal action against the inciters of violence.
