Published on October 27, 2019, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has come out strongly against Majority Leader Aden Duale's recent remarks on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). Kuria claims Duale is being used by his master, Deputy President William Ruto, to infuriate Mt Kenya region and prevent the BBI from passing.

According to Kuria, Duale's tirade against Mt Kenya is a facade, and he is not genuinely supporting a parliamentary system of governance. Instead, Duale is positioning himself to be the country's next State House Comptroller in 2022, and his comments are meant to infuriate Mt Kenya and prevent any change in the architecture of the Presidency.

Kuria challenged Duale to an open contest for the position of Leader of Majority, saying he would beat him hands down. He also reminded Duale that his current position in parliament is courtesy of the Mt Kenya vote, and that 84% of President Kenyatta's votes came from the region.

"We are stupid, yes, but not that much," Kuria charged. "Faga!"
