On October 27, 2019, a Kenyan woman named Munira made headlines after camping outside the Wasafi offices in Tanzania, determined to win the heart of Tanzanian singer Mbosso.
According to Munira, she had been a fan of Mbosso since his Ya Moto Band days and had even sold her phone to raise fare to travel to Tanzania in pursuit of her love.
"I love him. There are so many men in Kenya that want to marry me but I'm not ready. I came to look for Mbosso and I'm ready to do anything. I love him so much," Munira said in an interview.
However, her love was not reciprocated, and Mbosso reportedly told her to return home, offering her Tsh 10,000 in the process.
"I finally met him and he told me he'll give me fare to go back home, however, I'm not ready to go back," Munira said, revealing her refusal to give up on Mbosso.
When asked about the issue, Mbosso explained that he has already settled down with his baby mama and does not see Munira as a viable partner.
"I cannot blame her for that. But I have a family and kids and I have a lot. Getting into a relationship with someone from nowhere I can say is just stupidity. I want her to go back home," Mbosso said.
