On October 27, 2019, a rogue police officer was arrested in Nairobi's Kayole area, sparking concerns about police conduct in the region.

David Odhiambo, a corporal, was arrested at his home in Mihang'o, where police recovered uniforms, handcuffs, boots, and other police items hidden in his house.

According to Kayole Police Boss Wilson Kosgei, Odhiambo was arrested alongside another civilian who was at his house during the time of the arrest.

Kosgei questioned the large number of police uniforms found in Odhiambo's house, saying, "As officers we only have 3 pairs of uniform. How can an officer have more than that?"

The arrest comes amid reports of Kayole police officers being named in criminal activities and residents being harassed by police.

Just last month, some police officers attached to the Kayole police station were allegedly involved in a criminal activity that saw two businessmen lose Ksh. 6 Million in a lodging.
