It's a tradition that dates back to the early days of KCPE exams in Mwisho wa Lami. The KCPE prayer day, held on a Monday before the exams, was a time for candidates to come together and pray for their success. But over the years, the tradition has taken a dark turn.

According to sources, a group of individuals, led by Apostle Elkana, have been exploiting KCPE candidates by charging them for prayers, only to provide a meager tea and snacks instead. The candidates, who are already under immense pressure, are being taken advantage of by these individuals.

One of the individuals involved in the scam is MWALIMU ANDREW, who has been organizing the prayer day for years. In an interview, MWALIMU ANDREW revealed that he had been charging the candidates Sh300 each to attend the prayer day, with the promise of a big feast afterwards. However, when the day of the prayer day arrived, MWALIMU ANDREW and Apostle Elkana had to make a last-minute decision to provide a simple tea and amahenjera instead of the promised feast.

But the story doesn't end there. MWALIMU ANDREW had been collecting money from the candidates, promising them a big bash, but instead, he and Apostle Elkana had been using the money for their own personal expenses. MWALIMU ANDREW had sent Apostle Elkana Sh700 and used Sh1,200 on his personal engagements, while Apostle Elkana had been asking for more money to book a venue for the prayer day.

As the prayer day approached, the candidates were expecting a big celebration, but instead, they were met with a simple tea and amahenjera. The entire Mwisho wa Lami is aware of the 'planned feast' and will throng THOAG today, not for prayers but for food.

It's a shocking revelation that highlights the exploitation of KCPE candidates by individuals who are supposed to be helping them. The prayer day scam is a reminder that there are still many people who are willing to take advantage of others for their own gain.
