On October 26, 2019, Vihiga Queens secured a record third consecutive Kenyan Women Premier League title with a 7-0 win over Makolanders Ladies FC at Mumias Sports Complex.
The reigning champions amassed 73 points from 26 matches, leaving them six points ahead of their nearest rivals Gaspo Women FC and boasting a superior goal difference of 84.
League top scorer Terry Engesha netted a hat-trick, scoring in the 24th, 55th, and 79th minutes. Gentrix Shikangwa also scored in the 41st minute, while Cynthia Shilwatso scored in the 27th minute before being forced off with a hamstring injury.
Topister Situma rounded off the scoring in the 93rd minute, beating Samantha Okeya and slotting past Pauline Atieno.
Coach Alex Alumira expressed his team's happiness at retaining the title and their desire to win it again in the future.
