Chelsea's Christian Pulisic scored his first hat-trick for the club in a 4-2 win over Burnley on Saturday, while Manchester City overcame a sluggish start to beat Aston Villa 3-0 and close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to three points.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was frustrated with his team's performance in the first half against Villa, saying, "Of course, respect and credit for Aston Villa. The first half we played football but we don't play in the way we should play."

City recovered in the second half, with goals from Raheem Sterling, David Silva, and Ilkay Gundogan securing the win.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's win marked their fourth straight Premier League victory, with Pulisic's hat-trick coming after a slow start to the season.

"We have to be more mature to control the last 10 minutes," Everton boss Marco Silva said after his team's 3-2 loss to Brighton, which left them two points above the relegation zone.

Leicester City's 9-0 thrashing of Southampton on Friday remains the biggest margin of victory in the Premier League era, with Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers saying, "I think we'll get better, we will improve. Of course, the result and performance is perfect."
