Kenya's film regulator, Ezekiel Mutua, has urged citizens to avoid watching the 10 Over 10 program, which airs on Citizen TV every Friday at 10 pm.
According to Mutua, the program has been criticized for its explicit content, particularly its depiction of densi culture among young people.
Although Mutua acknowledged that the KFCB has no authority to regulate programs broadcast between 4 pm and 4 am, he advised parents to avoid exposing their children to the program and to prevent them from watching it.
"I receive complaints about the 10 Over 10 program every week. Personally, I strongly condemn the explicit content shown in the program," Mutua said in a Facebook post on October 26, 2019.
Mutua's warning comes as the program continues to air on Citizen TV, sparking debate about its suitability for Kenyan audiences.
