Ruto Wishes Uhuru Happy 58th Birthday, Reminds Him of Their Retirement Plan ¶
Deputy President William Ruto wished President Uhuru Kenyatta a happy 58th birthday on October 26, 2019, describing him as a great inspiration to Kenyans.
In a tweet, Ruto said, "Happy birthday to my friend & Boss H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta. You are a great inspiration to me, Jubilee leadership and millions of Kenyans as the youngest President we’ve ever had. As we age, I look forward to what we agreed on to do when we retire. Remember? Ubarikiwe mpaka Ushangae!"
While many Kenyans took to Twitter to wish Uhuru well on his birthday, some also used the opportunity to express their dissatisfaction with his leadership, citing issues such as unemployment and lack of basic needs for Kenyans.
Uhuru has been in office since 2013 and is serving his second term as President. His retirement plans with Ruto remain unclear.
