On October 26, 2019, the Diaspora Life show celebrated a significant milestone, reaching one million views just two months after its premiere on Standard Digital.

The show's fifth episode, titled 'Mentoring the boy child,' was a key contributor to this achievement, reaching one million views in a remarkable 17 days.

Hosted by a Kenyan living in the US, the 15-minute weekly online show takes viewers on a journey through the lives of Kenyans living in the diaspora, highlighting both the accomplishments and challenges of life abroad.

According to Carole Kimutai, Standard Group's Digital Managing Editor, the decision to create an exclusively digital show was driven by the potential of the web to generate conversations and meet the content demands of online audiences.

Kimutai expressed excitement about the show's success, stating, "We are very excited by the interest Diaspora Life show has elicited from audiences across the globe. Our decision to exclusively use the web was because of the potential the web has. Our objective is to bring the diaspora story to a platform that generates as many conversations as possible,"

The show's growing viewership has been observed across various video platforms, including Daily Motion, Facebook, and YouTube, with viewership recorded in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
