Residents of Sachagwan village in Nakuru's Molo sub-county were left speechless after a bizarre funeral was held in the area.
According to reports, an elderly man who passed away at the age of 88 was buried in the dead of night, without any of the usual funeral rites.
Chiefs in the area, including Joseph Chepkwony, have come out to explain the situation, stating that the deceased had requested to be buried immediately, without any funeral ceremonies.
"Normally, funerals in this area take place in the afternoon, but in this case, the family decided to follow the deceased's wishes and bury him in the evening, without any of the usual funeral rites," Chepkwony explained.
Residents were left stunned and speechless after the funeral, which was attended by only a few family members and neighbors.
Similar bizarre funerals have been reported in other parts of Nakuru, including the Elburgon area, where a local leader was buried in the early hours of the morning, without any of the usual funeral ceremonies.
