Mamake Mariga has made a passionate plea for her son, McDonald Mariga, to be elected to the Kibra parliamentary seat.

Speaking at a political rally in Othaya, Kibra on October 25, 2019, Mildred Wanyama urged residents to vote for her son, promising that he would bring much-needed development to the area.

"I implore the people of Othaya and Kibra in general to vote for my son Mariga because he is a very humble person, hardworking, and a man of action," Mildred said. "He will build schools, hospitals, bring water, and create jobs for women to engage in business."

Mildred also took a swipe at those who have been criticizing her son, urging residents to ignore them and focus on Mariga's positive qualities.

"There are some people who are criticizing Mariga, but they are just jealous and have lost direction," Mildred said. "Let us ignore them and focus on Mariga's good character and his ability to deliver."

Mariga was accompanied by Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa and senatorial candidate Millicent Omanga at the rally.
