Published on October 26, 2019, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is preparing his team for a physical battle against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Chelsea have been on a roll, winning six straight games, including a 1-0 victory over Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday. This impressive form has boosted their chances of making it to the last 16 of the competition and has seen them move into the Premier League's top four.

However, Lampard is aware that Burnley, who are five points behind Chelsea in the league, will not go down without a fight. The Burnley team is known for their strong and efficient playing style, which they have honed over time.

"We have had a tight turnaround here, so it's been huge on recovery and getting the players fit and ready to go again because it will be a physical battle," said Lampard.

Chelsea will be without several key players, including N'Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, and Ross Barkley, who are all injured. Lampard is keen for Kante to take his time in returning to action, as the French midfielder has been plagued by injury troubles throughout the season.

"We need to get him right now because he's been in and out through the season as we all know," added Lampard. "There's no real timeframe on it. I just want him fit. He's played a lot of football for four years, he's had a big injury off the back of last season, and maybe he's suffering from that big injury and the fallout from that."
