On October 19, 2019, KCB's Samuel Asati (R) tackled Sanchez De La Rosa of Spain during the Tusker Safari Sevens match at RFUEA Grounds.

Western Bulls, the Kenya Cup returnees, are set to face off against defending champions KCB in a crucial match to avoid relegation in Nairobi. The match, scheduled for the KCB Sports Club at 4pm, presents Bulls with a chance to test the bankers' title credentials early in the season.

Despite never having won this fixture since their Kenya Cup debut in the 2012-13 season, Western Bulls will have to be at their best to deny KCB maximum points. KCB, on the other hand, will draw inspiration from their impressive run at the pre-season Impala Floodlit tournament, where they clinched the title for a third successive year.

The match is part of a double header at the Jamhuri Showground, with Homeboyz RFC hosting Kenya Harlequin in the day's early kick off, followed by Nondescripts and Impala Saracens facing off.

Menengai Oilers, who finished eighth last season, host cross-town neighbours Nakuru RFC, while Kabras Sugar, the silver medalists in the past three seasons, clash with Kisumu RFC. Kenyatta University's Blak Blad, the only university side left in the top tier, begin their campaign at home against Mwamba RFC.
