On October 25, 2019, Tanzanian music sensation Harmonize sat down with Clouds Fm, a local radio station, to share his side of the story regarding his exit from WCB Record Label.

After years of being under contract with Wasafi Classic Baby music label, Harmonize finally gained his freedom and severed ties with his former record label.

According to Harmonize, he paid a staggering Tsh500 million to WCB Record Label to acquire the exclusive rights to his music. However, he has not yet completed the payment, having sold three of his properties to settle the debt.

"I was supposed to pay Tsh500 million, but the truth is, we followed the law and the contract procedures. I was supposed to pay Tsh500 million plus some additional costs. Honestly, I didn't have the money, but I sold some of my properties to pay off the debt, and I have already paid a significant portion of it, but I still have a small percentage left to pay, which is why I can use my music as I please," Harmonize explained.

When asked about his decision to cut ties with his former labelmates, Harmonize clarified that he has severed his relationship with them but has no personal issues with Diamond Platnumz, only with the management.

"I don't want to lie, my relationship with my former management is not the same as it used to be. As for them not attending my wedding, I had expected them to be there, but I understood that they had other commitments," Harmonize said.

He also addressed rumors that he was shooting a music video instead of attending his wedding, stating that he is indeed married and that the rumors were false.
