Published on October 25, 2019, a pre-bail report for Peter Karanja, a suspect in Tob Cohen's murder, was presented in court to determine whether he would be released or not.
Martha Wangari, Karanja's wife, disputed claims that the house in question was his fixed abode, stating through her lawyer George Kimani that the house actually belongs to her.
However, Karanja's lawyer argued that the house is rightfully his, citing a Nakuru court order that ruled in his favor after Wangari sought eviction orders against him.
The court will deliver Karanja's bail ruling on Tuesday next week.
Wangari's lawyer insisted that she was not seeking to deny Karanja bail, but rather to clarify their marital status and the status of the house.
‘We are here to tell the court that the house belongs to my client,' Wangari's lawyer said.
