On October 23, 2019, police in Nairobi arrested a University of Nairobi lecturer in connection with the death of her 13-year-old son.
The boy's body was found wrapped in a blanket in the living room of their house in the South B estate.
Nairobi area police boss Philip Ndolo said officers discovered the body at around 6pm on the day of the arrest.
"The suspect was in the house at the time. We are investigating the incident," said Mr Ndolo.
This incident comes just months after a similar case in the same estate, where a 73-year-old former Treasury employee and her 47-year-old daughter were found murdered in their house in September 2019.
