On October 25, 2019, a tragic incident occurred at Cardinal Otunga Girls High School in Bungoma County, Kenya.

A Form One student, who has not been named, took her own life after being publicly shamed by the school's Deputy Principal for altering her exam results.

According to sources, the student had sneaked into the staff room and changed her geography test marks, awarding herself a score of 93 percent.

However, her attempt to cheat was discovered, and she was exposed in front of the whole school during an assembly.

Tragically, the student's lifeless body was later found dangling in the dormitory, with a bed sheet used as a makeshift rope.
