On Thursday, October 24, Arsenal took a crucial step towards qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League by defeating Vitoria de Guimaraes 3-2 in a dramatic comeback.
The Gunners were looking to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Sheffield United in a league match earlier in the week.
Former Tottenham midfielder Marcus Edwards opened the scoring for Vitoria just eight minutes into the match, but Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli equalized for the Gunners after 32 minutes with a headed goal from Kieran Tierney's cross.
However, Vitoria regained the lead just four minutes later through Bruno Duarte, who smashed in a rebound to make it 2-1.
Unai Emery made a double substitution in the second half, introducing Guendouzi and Ceballos for Willock and Maitland-Niles, but it was the introduction of Nicolas Pepe that made the difference.
Pepe drew Arsenal level in the 80th minute and later scored the winning goal at stoppage time to secure a dramatic comeback win for the north London side.
The win puts Arsenal at the top of Group F with nine points.
