On October 24, 2019, two Liverpool fans made a costly mistake, traveling to the wrong city for a Champions League match against Belgian side Genk.

Instead of heading to Genk, they found themselves in Ghent, 150 kilometers away, only realizing their error 30 minutes before the match.

Locals spotted the pair wandering aimlessly with tickets in hand, and they eventually made their way to a local Irish bar in Gent to watch the match.

According to a Belgian radio station, the two fans had each spent at least KSh 25,000 (£190) on match tickets and fares.

Local club KAA Gent took pity on the fans' plight and offered them tickets to their Europa League clash against Wolfsburg.

The club tweeted, "If anybody knows these two or has their contact details, tell 'em they're invited for our game against Wolfsburg tonight. We'll give them some lessons on Belgian geography afterwards."
