On October 23, 2019, US President Donald Trump unveiled a puzzling new twist to his border wall initiative: a wall in Colorado.
However, Colorado lies well within the United States, with its southern neighbor New Mexico bordering Mexico.
During a speech in Pittsburgh, Trump stated, "You know why we are going to win New Mexico? Because they want safety on their border."
He continued, "And we are building a wall on the border of New Mexico, and we are building a wall in Colorado. We are building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works, that you can't get over, you can't get under."
Trump's comments sparked confusion and mockery on social media, with many questioning the logic behind building a wall in Colorado.
Building a wall on the southern border with Mexico was a key promise of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, but Congress has refused to fund its construction.
